Feedback given by CMHC and Spink County Ambulance Service staff focused on obtaining resources to improve patient care, provide a better patient experience, facilitate efficiency, and enhance the work environment.

(3) Portable Suction Machines For Nursing Department - A portable suction machine, also known as an aspirator, will help CMH staff to remove obstructions from a patient's airway. When an individual is unable to clear secretions due to a lack of consciousness or an ongoing medical procedure, suction machines help them breathe by maintaining a clear airway. Portable aspirators are designed to be lightweight and easy to move or transport, making them perfect for both patients and medical professionals.

AccuVein Unit And Stand - The AccuVein is a laser-based device that will help CMH clinicians see superficial veins, valves and bifurcations for better-informed decision-making and accurate needle placement. The AccuVein helps to avoid common IV site complications and ultimately improves a patient's experience.

(2) iPads - Spink County Ambulance Service has requested two iPads so that EMTs have the type of lightweight technology needed to improve patient care, access electronic health records, allow for efficient report writing, rapid access to pulse oximetry and cardiac diagnostic tools, communicate with medical specialists and emergency room staff while on the scene, provide state of the art training, and facilitate many other technological resources to improve and advance rural healthcare.

(2) Knox Storage Box - Spink County Ambulance Service has requested two Knox Boxes, which are needed to ensure that narcotic and other highly regulated medications are safely and securely stored.

(3) EMS Cleanable Jump Bags - Spink County Ambulance Service has requested three EMS Cleanable Jump Bags. An EMT's ability to provide life-saving care more quickly centers on having a well stocked Jump Bag filled with life saving equipment and supplies.

CPR Manikin For Airway Management Training - Spink County Ambulance Service has requested a Laerdal Airway Management Trainer so that EMS staff receive realistic practice for developing proficiency in airway management skills. The CPR Manikin realistically simulates an adult airway, and the lifelike upper torso and head can be used to demonstrate and practice intubation, ventilation, and suction techniques.
